JOURNALS - CHELSEY

June 17 If I was sent back in time I would die. No matter what I would bring I would survive less than a year. I would bring at the minimum a way to make fire without fuel, an axe or a hatchet, and some way to disinfect wounds. I would love to see what animals and wildlife exist and theorize animals and wildlife exist and theorize on what evolved into what. I have absolutely no survival so I would end up dying very quickly  June 11 Other generations often have the misconception that my generation is addicted to our devices. The reality is that that many if not most my age would much rather be doing something else but often we have no other choices. Outside of school activities most other outlets that other generations had are just unavailable to us. We have so few places that are not expensive and are available for us to utilize. There used to be things kids could do outside like skating rinks and arcades but places like these are few and far between in today's world.

JOURNALS - SERENA

June 1st  Sometimes failure is actually a good thing instead of bad. I've learned lots from failure like in middle school I was on the track team and there was a game one night. When i was at the track meet i accidentally threw wrong and failed to beat my PR and everything. So I learned from it and practiced more before the next track meet. The next few weeks after that another track meet came up and turned out all the practicing from the failure and the tips. I was scared to do the same thing I did on the first track meet. My confidence went down so I talked to the couch and she gave me really good advice. And when I stepped up on that concrete slab for my turn to throw the discus I landed myself third place overall. I got it and landed me in third place in the track meet. So it turns out not everything is bad. All you gotta do is learn from it and accomplish what you set your mind to.  June 11th  Old people should understand. I feel like old people don't understan...

JOURNALS - ERIK

I was relaxing at home when a mysterious letter appeared in my mailbox. I opened it up, and I realised I am being invited to join a group of spies as a birdwatcher. My mission is to spy on a group of poachers and to see what their mission is. So I went to the meeting place which is the public library. The other spies told me where the poachers are going to be. I was accompanied by two other spies with the same mission as me. We arrived and sure enough, there was a group of poachers getting ready to kill an innocent animal. We began to take action, we silently took each poacher out one by one. After all of the poachers had been taken from, I interrogated the leader to figure out what their plans were. So I took this information back to the library and was able to go back home and relax. To do list for Bowser Write a story about Princess Peach Paint a picture of Princess Peach Play with Bowser Jr. Write a song about Princess Peach Incinerate some stuff with my flames Go out for som...

JOURNALS - ADAM ALAN WAYNE

I have learned through failure that mistakes are good for me in life. Tests, sports, and stuff that I did in my life that I am not proud of. I am thankful that when I made those mistakes it taught me to be better in life and happy for what I did. The mistakes I made were, cheating in a game, not doing my best in a sport, and cheating on a test multiple times. Most of those mistakes I made did not make me feel good. It did make mistakes but it got me to be better at life. What I would put in a time capsule is one of my favorite things. I would put a picture of my family and five other things. Another I would put in it would be a book since if it would be 100 years later then yeah a book.

JOURNALS - VICTORIA STARR

It’s been a week since I received a mysterious letter in the mail. The envelope had no return address, but I knew exactly where it came from…the ESS or better known as  the Elite Spy Service. I assumed they had finally noticed my abilities after I was caught gathering information on one of their highest-ranked agents. To be fair, it took him seven months to catch me, which is more than I can say for everyone else who tried. Since then, I’ve been working under their command, disguised as a bird watcher. I hate birds. The way they sit there and stare creeps me out, and now I’m forced to do the same to them, or at least pretend. My current assignment is the manager of a local food market. So far, he’s been painfully boring. He works, goes home, sleeps, and repeats. No hobbies. No friends. No life outside of work. Which, ironically, makes him suspicious. After two weeks of surveillance, he finally did something unusual. Instead of using his cellphone, he stopped at an old paypho...

JOURNALS - WHITLEY

I have learned from failing before that it is good to fail because it helps you learn more in the long run. I have learned to accept my mistakes and use them to help me in things further along in my life. One example would be that I did not always win my tumbling competitions but I tried my best and learned from the experience. The purpose of sharing this was to show that not everyone is always going to be perfect and be the best. This is something that I personally have learned and almost everyone has experienced across the world. Time capsules are very sentimental things and they are very special to people around the world. If I were a kid stuck at home in today’s time I would put a aired up volleyball in there to keep me entertained. Something that I would put in there for popular culture today is an album from one of my favorite singers, Tate Mcrae. One of the things that I would add to cherish is a stuffed bear from my friend to always remind me of her when I cannot see her....

JOURNALS - MARLEY

JUNE 15 If I had a time capsule, I would put 5 things in it. One being my medicine, I would put this in there to show that I had ADHD and made it through. Two being the 6 7 meme on a picture, this is because I am kind of sick of hearing 6 7. Third I would put a clarinet reed, I would put this in the capsule because it shows what I do. Fourth I would put pictures of my family. I love my family and want people to know how awesome my family is. Last but not least, I would put all of my rewards. Whatever it may be, high honors, theater awards, or even class favorites. I would put these in here because I love to show how academically smart I am.

JOURNALS - ERIN

JUNE 29 My perfect society would be called Everland and is located around where Hawai’i is. The geography is set up to where everything is eco friendly. We are very big on recycling and keeping the earth clean. Everyone would have to have a job, but it can be a small job like babysitting. We grow most of our food, and are very big on raising animals to eat. No one is allowed to purchase from fast fashion. We all agree that health care should be free, and education is one of the most important things. Everyone has the rights to their own anatomy, and hate won’t be tolerated. The legal process is very fair. You’re only allowed to become a person of power if  you don’t have a criminal record and your phone will be searched. Everyone, even if they’re rich, pays the correct amount in taxes. All tax money goes to the school and healthcare. Children legally aren’t allowed to have a phone unless they play a sport or they can write an essay on why they should have one. Once you are 1...

JOURNALS - KILLIAN

JUNE 30th The ships carrying the supplies for the utopia have sunk and the city's residents are all starving and rioting over food and fuel. Buildings are set on fire, people are killed, even houses are raided by groups of people to conquer what little food is left. The island has turned into a dystopia and you should not go there. What remained of the fortunate enough to survive well they've all built rafts and left the city island. It's abandoned and all that's left are burning buildings and ash. JUNE 3rd Technology is making the world better because machines can perform human tasks in a more precise and quick manner. Ai is helping scientists, health experts, and government officials all around the world which strengthen our communities. Technology makes daily tasks and even getting from place to place much easier to do. So in conclusion technology will make the world a better place by strengthening the knowledge of our officials and helping with the workforce.

JOURNALS - LOUELLEN

June 1 What is failure? Failure is the state of not meeting the desirable outcome. In life we constantly run into this social concept of not reaching an intended objective. As you begin to grow though these failures become lessons. Which deliver us from the past to then be opened into the future. Within my academic life I have found many challenges. I tend to struggle within the realms of math and science. My ability in these subjects have held me back in achieving my academic goals. This summer I have found myself moving with the current of success to find my own particular method for learning from past mistakes in these classes. Rewiring my academic function and improving my skills. June 3rd Just thirty to forty years ago the uprising of technology was supposed to be the start of a new era. Now in the big 2026 we as a society question whether or not technology has gone too far in its progression. For decades many theorized the destruction that would stem from technology, ...

JOURNALS - EMMALYNN

It's now day 36 of spying, although I don't know what I'm looking for. When I joined a team of spies, I thought I was gonna be mysterious and cool, almost like James Bond. That in fact didn't happen. I was assigned the role of “Bird watcher”, which means I am here, at the park,  for about 6 hours a day staring at nothing. What is my real purpose here? Will I ever figure it out, probably not.  My jaw dropped down in shock as I realized I spoke too soon. Did I really see that right? No way, what did I sign up for! That man had cool, low, ashy brown hair. Bright amber eyes that glisten in the light. Honestly very cute, wait what am I saying. I'm supposed to be spying on him, not crushing on him. To add to that, he did just do whatever that was.. I don't want to talk about it.  It's been a few hours since I've seen that in the park, I don't know if I want to continue spying. I continue thinking, or at least trying to think about what to do. Althoug...

JOURNALS - LUCY

JUNE 1 During failure we think things get hard. And yes things are hard when you fail. That’s how we learn. You have to learn how to do that when you want something really bad and work hard for it. Then later where you don’t get the part or don’t get the role you want. But failure is how we learn. We learn from failure by looking at the new start. Or if you get a different part you can see why or maybe it might be better. Like you wanted the solo for the band and didn’t make it. It might be because you aren't quite ready or don’t remember all the notes. As a time in life I saw failure last year for a marching band solo. My friend, the person that got it, had been working hard on it and had time to do it. As well as had it memorized beforehand. And I didn’t. I also had to transpose it which I didn't get to before that week so therefore I didn’t have much time to practise it. Therefore that showed me that maybe I wasn’t ready for the solo even though I worked really hard that...

JOURNALS - TORI

Journal for JUNE 10th  I walk into the theater to see a blast of light as the movies start coming to life as if they are real. As I look around I see that there are no people in the building, just a projector and the screen. I walk towards the white screen and turn one of the older racing movies on. To my surprise the cars turned a corner and burst through the screen towards me. Now I realize I'm no longer sitting but standing in the middle of the track. I move to the side but I am sucked up into the wind of dust and now driving the leading car, and as the race finishes I am now out in the theater again.  I turn on a couple more movies and the same thing happens where the camera is pointing is where I end up. I run out to go get a friend but as I look behind me the theater is no longer there. But where it stood was a construction crew. It turns out the more movies I watched the more years passed. So 4 hours in there are 4 years out in the real world. I watched 8 movies ...
