LETTER TO MYSELF- ETHAN

DEAR PAST SELF By: Ethan  I'm writing this to my past self which I miss so much. You had so much to learn, grow, and explore that was wasted on “video games”. What a waste of life, but don't be worried because we will start back on track with “life” and make friends, graduating freshman year and a job at McDonalds which I don't want to talk about right now but it will be great-ish.one other thing.A certain Mom and Mike are just as selfish as they have ever been and boring too. Though you think this is sad, it has forced you to grow as a person and I hope you would understand that, but it is our parents' faults lol.                               Just know you are not perfect and that is fine. Love you past self!

JOURNAL- JADELYN

HOW TO IMPROVE BASEBALL By: Jadelyn Some changes I would make about baseball would be that there should be shorter innings and not have all 7. Another thing that might help it get back to being so popular would be letting girls play on the baseball team and not just having all boys on the team. Some ideas from other sports would be to let them use other things to hit with whatever they want to hit with. So they could use a hockey or lacrosse stick. To change the field we could either make the field smaller with larger space between the bases or bigger with smaller space between the bases. To add new players we could add famous people to a baseball team to also make it more interesting. Some of the new positions that could be added would be left and right center field if it was bigger but if it was smaller there could be less people on the field so not many people would get injured in a collision.Having the players either wear stuff to protect them at their own risk but if they don’t want...

BALLAD- ISLA

Pride and Fear By: Isla The tale of pride and fear  A tale full of love and hate People run and flee But all is futile for fear is forever Thought the fear there is love And in that love there's  family As Well as fear but like fear, love is everlasting But both change like the seasons Prideful, boastful yet insecure and fearful  Of themselves and others  Repping the peace that they had When they realize they were wrong it is to late

Letter to Myself- Anna

Dear past self, I hope you're still well, I know you’re not but a man can only hope and dream about the past. I know it’s hard that you always feel different, unliked, unaware of the silly rules set in place by life. Freshman year is finally over. I know you love going to school now so cherish that for all its worth. You know our cousin, Chase? He said something that wasn't in ancient Egyptian for once and spouted off something that really stuck with me. “Life is a lot better when you do your homework.” We really learn that the hard way… be prepared to spend your 6th grade year with the library teacher in detention. I know, we actually get detention. It’s not the end of the world though, as I've never gotten violent… kinda.  I never really ‘fixed’ what was wrong with us, I still never fixed why we don’t understand how talking really works, why we’re awkward and clunky and loud. I know the problem and it requires medicine that I cannot afford, (Plus I don't really wa...

THIS I BELIEVE- MOLLY

This I Believe By: Molly  I believe that life is too short to get stuck up on the little things. Somewhere between the age of 5 to now I have developed this belief. As far back as I can remember I've always had it or at least had it in some way shape or form. When I was very young, probably around the age of 5 I started to notice the significance of age. Around the age of 5 I noticed that the older I got the more people started aging. Of course I've known what aging is since I could understand English but it started to become more meaningful and life started to get more precious. My grandparents started to do things they had never done before, and my parents couldn't play with me like they used to. I used to get really sad over this fact but as I aged I found that it was not sad. This idea really helped me with kindness and just being nice to people because you never really know when they will die and you do not want to end off on bad terms. I know this sounds sad but I s...

THIS I BELIEVE- COLTEN

This I Believe By: Colten  I believe that helping the needy is one of the greatest things one can do. When I was a kid, I had always wanted to help people, yet when I had chances too, I couldn’t help. So my mother decided to start having us volunteer at the food banks of our local church. And every time, I always felt good afterwards. I started to do this more and it rubbed off on my youngest sister. Every time we went to church she would donate money, toys, and sometimes even food. I still do this and help people as much as I can. My mom always told me that “good people are blessed by God”. To me, this means that good people are treated kindly and are more fortunate for being helpful. Yet I don’t help because I may get a reward, I help because it makes me feel good and I always just want to be helpful. I’ve donated, volunteered, and even once started a lemonade stand, to give money to charities in our hometown. Helping has always been a big thing in my family. So at the end of the...

SHORT STORY- JOSHUA

The New Kid By: Joshua Kai wakes up to the sound of his alarm. A decently tall kid, with brown hair, picks up his phone, his blue eyes reflecting back at him, turns off the alarm, and throws it back down on his nightstand. Today is his first day of Sophomore year. After a couple more minutes he decides he better get ready for school before his mom comes and makes him. He gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom to get ready. He walks back to his room, and gets dressed. After he gets dressed, he heads downstairs and makes some eggs and toast. He sits down and starts eating as his mom walks in looking surprised. “You made breakfast already!” his mom says. “Yeah, what about it,” Kai says.  “Normally I have to drag you out of bed and then it's still about 10 minutes before you get ready.”  “Not today.” “I’m proud of you” Kai rolls his eyes and continues to eat his breakfast as his mom walks past him. Once he is done eating his breakfast, he throws his plate in the sink....
