ELEGY FOR ADALYNN

 A daughter, Mother, and sister

Love is missing from many lives

Her absence not a memory but a ghost that stays near

The loss of her physically provides no comfort

Deeper than the atlantic sadness flows

Not like a damn but an overfilled creek

Darker than that of feathers from crows

Her voice not a whisper; she may no longer speak

Alas her memories we will keep in our world

For law was her passion which did not go unsaid

A beautiful attorney by which goes her head

Many believed her grace was elegant as she twirled
