 Storms

By Jade

What are storms?

A gift?

A curse?

A blessing?

The sound on a tin roof

A sound for sleep

Or a sound of fear?

Thunder rolling in the distance

Lighting striking whatever it can reach

Storms

It's a funny word, ain’t it?

You can either love it

Or you can hate it

Storms are cold and wet

Or they are a place where you can cry

Without being ashamed

Storms are a way of nature crying

As quick as storms come, they are gone

People come and go, but we choose to stay

The skies are still gray, but we are not
